PFA Programming can be a year-round training program. However, it is offered on a seasonal basis to enable players to obtain the level of quality of training they desire without overwhelming either their enthusiasm for the game or their ability to participate in another favorite activity. PFA is and will remain committed to providing a quality, value-oriented and local training alternative for players interested in improving their game.
Fall/Spring Outdoor programming is one-night per week training for u6-u10 players. At the u9 and u10 level, PFA forms teams to play weekend games. Team training often includes an optional second training session each week for those players who would like to do more. Events and games are scheduled to minimize conflict with the age group’s regular community club game schedule so players can continue to play for their club teams. PFA also offers goalie training, shooting clinics, and speed and agility training.
Winter Programming is provided in two consecutive sessions at the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena (PISA) in Harmarville. Each age group will receive one hour or more of training each week by our professional staff. Indoor games are available for u8-u10 players. Additionally, teams may elect to participate, at an additional cost, in periodic tournaments held by PISA and other facilities. Practice and game schedules will be based upon the availability of facilities and PISA schedules.
Summer Programming provides a break from our usual routines. We offer a variety of activities such as summer camps, shooting clinics and pick-up games where our players can just relax and have fun.
