PFA ACADEMY TEAMS
We are always interested in adding new players to our teams and our training groups, especially in the younger age groups.  If you would like to become a part of the fastest-growing, most successful academy program in Western Pennsylvania, please email us at info@pfasoccer.com.

97/98 Girls Fury

The Fury girls are ranked as the #1 team in
their age group in Pennsylvania by Soccer in
College.  Our 97/98 girls recently won the
Elite Division of the prestigious Jefferson Cup
tournament in Richmond, Virginia.  The
Jefferson Cup is a premier elite tournament
that is ranked as the fifth best tournament for
girls in the United States.  The Fury girls were
also finalists at the Mid-American Soccer
Classic tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio.  These
girls are the Western Pennsylvania Futsal State
Cup Champions
.  In the fall 2007, they swept the
PPA league 6-0, beating the Strikers, Stars
United, Century United, Northern Crew, Erie
Admirals, and Northern Steel and outscoring
their opponents 40-3.  They played up a year in
the spring PPA league and lost only one game
against the older girls.  The Fury girls are coached
by Dennis Casarcia and Mike Proviano.

97/98 Boys Thunder

Coach Jeff Armor’s boys successfully compete in the PPA outdoor league and indoors at PISA.  They finished at the top of the u10 division one indoor league.  They are off to a great start in the PPA spring league, winning their first three games and  outscoring their opponents 16-6.  This group will be the core of our fall 2008 u11 boys team. This is an up and coming team that keeps getting better and better.
97/98/99 Girls Real Madrid

Real Madrid is a new team this spring that was
formed over the winter indoor season.  They
competed successfully in both sessions of the
PISA indoor league.  Some of these girls are
playing up, but despite the age differences,
these girls are tenacious and very hard workers.
It is clear already that this group of girls has a
bright future in soccer.  They will play in the
PPA league in the spring of 2008.
They are
coached by Rafal Kolankowski.
98/99 Boys Predators

Coach Jeremy Gillespie’s boys are the Memorial Day Shootout Champions, beating high level teams such as the Cleveland Internationals.  They play up in the u10 PPA outdoor league with great success.  They also played in u10 division one of the indoor league at PISA and finished first in the second session.  Last spring, the Predators attended the Memorial Day Shootout in Erie, Pa, a Gold level ranked tournament, and made it to the semi-finals before losing to a highly skilled Internationals team.  This achievement is remarkable because they were a u8 team playing in a u10 bracket.  There are clearly many good things ahead for this group of boys.

99/00 Boys Barcelona

Erik Ingram, PFA Director of Coaching and Fox Chapel High School Boys Soccer Coach, also coaches our Barcelona team.  The Barcelona boys train outdoors together and they played games in the PISA indoor league.  Barcelona was 12-0 in the second indoor session, outscoring their opponents 86-15.  This group will be getting their first opportunity to play in some outdoor friendlies in the spring of 2008, and they are ready for the challenge!  They will also play in the fall 2008 PPA league.
